For its 2026 Sales Kickoff, OPSWAT set out to deliver a program that would be both memorable and strategically grounded. With nearly 1,000 attendees expected from across regions, the leadership team envisioned an experience that broke from convention while still supporting the operational demands of a high-impact Sales Kickoff (SKO). OPSWAT partnered with 38 North […]
OPSWAT’s leadership envisioned hosting the Sales Kickoff aboard a cruise ship, a distinctive concept intended to create energy, immersion, and differentiation for the global sales team. Given the scale of the program and the international makeup of attendees, the concept required careful evaluation across logistics, accessibility, and meeting infrastructure.
38NC was engaged to rigorously assess the feasibility of at-sea options while protecting the integrity and objectives of the program.
While compelling in concept, cruise-based venues introduced significant constraints. Departure logistics, international travel coordination, and limitations around meeting space scale posed risks for a program of this size and complexity.
The challenge was clear: preserve the spirit of the leadership’s vision while identifying a solution that could fully support operational requirements, attendee experience, and long-term strategic value.
38NC conducted a thorough evaluation of multiple cruise and destination-based options, identifying limitations early and presenting viable alternatives grounded in experience and feasibility.
The team ultimately secured a one-of-a-kind hotel designed in the shape of a cruise ship - delivering the same experiential intent in a superior, accessible location. The selected property, the Fairmont Monte Carlo, provided the scale, meeting infrastructure, and international accessibility required for OPSWAT’s global audience. This solution allowed OPSWAT to achieve its original vision without logistical challenges.
